Dr. Amber Raza (Moderator)

Dr. Amber Raza, holds a PhD in Business Management and MBA in HRM from IoBM. She did her MPhil in HRM from PAF- KIET. She is working as an Assistant Professor & HoD Academics with IoBM. She has worked with AKESP in the field of Education Research in Pakistan, and was part of the team that developed evaluating and monitoring instruments for the project QUAID (Quality Advancement through Institutional Development). She has 10 years of teaching experience at university level; and has supported 100 plus students in their research projects which were based on diverse topics with focus on Management and Marketing.

Dr. Shakeel Sadiq Jajja
Fulbright Scholar, Stanford University, USA

Dr. Shakeel Sadiq Jajja is Associate Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management and Director of Executive MBA program at Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB). Dr. Jajja has participated in Global Colloquium on Participant-Centred Learning at Harvard Business School, Boston and several other platforms of excellence in case writing and teaching. He has written cases on companies including Service Industries Limited, Millat Tractors Limited, TCS, Daraz.pk, and Qadri Group. Dr. Jajja did Ph.D. in Operations Management in 2013 on scholarship of Lahore University of Management Sciences. He got the first position and Gold Medal in M.S. in Total Quality Management from University of the Punjab in 2006. Earlier he did B.Sc. (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore in 2004.

Dr. Naveda Kitchlew

Ms. Naveda Kitchlew specializes in management of higher education at national, regional, and global scale. Her doctorate in business administration with specialization in higher education management coupled with a vast experience spanning over twenty-five years and covering teaching and administrative roles in Middle East, UK, and the US makes her a conspicuous educationist. In her role as Associate Dean Internationalization & Academics at University of Management and Technology, she led the implementation of Internationalization strategy for creating a global impact. Alongside her role as an Associate professor, she was the Focal person for the National and International accreditations at UMT from 2014-19. During her tenure as Dean of the School of Business and Economics, Dr. Kitchlew reevaluated strategic direction of SBE before implementing initiatives to align and benefit from national and international trends and economic conditions. Dr. Kitchlew holds a doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Bath, UK. She travels across the globe for her academic and consulting assignments.

Dr. Ghulam Ali Arain
Associate Professor, LUMS

Dr. Ghulam Ali Arain has a PhD in Organizational Behaviour and MS in Management Sciences from Aix-Marseille University, France. He has more than 13 years, diversified, experience in teaching and research at universities in France, KSA, UAE, & Pakistan. Dr. Arain joined Suleman Dawood School of Business at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in 2022 as Associate Professor, and is currently the Co-Program Director of Executive MBA. Dr. Arain has conducted several workshops, seminars, and capacity-building training for executives of SSGC, IRD, Literacy and Education Department of Sindh Government, NSUSC, ASP LUMS, CIDA, and USAID. He has completed many projects, including a project worth 9.05 million from International Relief & Development and a project worth 19.20 million from the Ministry of Education, Sindh Government.

Dr. Nyla Aleem Ansari

Dr. Nyla Aleem Ansari is a distinguished scholar and academic leader with a rich educational background. She earned her PhD in Women Leadership and Human Resources from Grenoble Ecole de Management, France, in 2020, a testament to her dedication to advancing our understanding of these critical domains. Prior to her doctoral studies, she completed her MSc in Organizational Psychology and HR at Birkbeck College, University of London, UK, in 2010. Dr. Nyla currently serves as an Assistant Professor and Chairperson of the Management Department at the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, where she has held this role since November 2022. Her dynamic leadership is not limited to the classroom; she is also actively engaged in shaping the curriculum. She is a consultant and a trainer in the field of HR and has been the program director for postgraduate diploma programs at the centre of executive education at IBA.

Dr. Nooreen Mujahid
Director AERC, University of Karachi

Prof. Dr. Nooreen Mujahid is a teacher, a professional trainer, and a seasoned researcher, currently serving as the Director of the Applied Economics Research Centre (AERC). From January 2021 till March 2023, she was Chairperson of the Department of Economics at University of Karachi. From 2008 to 2013, she served as an Additional Directing Staff at the National Institute of Management (NIM) Karachi (deputation). She has over 28 years of experience and an impressive publication record with 28 international, 15 national publications and 18 conference papers.  She is also working as a Head Field Enumerator for a Research Project titled “Food Insecurity and Malnutrition in Rural Sindh: Challenges and Way Forward” under the Sindh Research Support Program of Sindh Higher Education Commission.

Dr. Shumaila Kashif

Dr. Shumaila Kashif has been associated with Szabist, Karachi for the last 8 years and is currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Head of Marketing Cluster at SZABIST, Karachi. She is a marketing professional with a Ph.D. in Retail Marketing (Management Sciences) from SZABIST with almost 20 years of experience in academia, retail and international business development.

Dr. Shujaat Mubarik
Dean CBM, IoBM

Dr. Muhammad Shujaat Mubarik is Professor and Dean College of Business Management (CBM). Having done his PhD from University of Malaya, Malaysia, Dr. Mubarik brings blended-experience from industry, academia, and research. His areas of interest are supply chain management, sustainability, and intellectual capital. He has more than 100 research papers (Clarivate/Scopus/ABDC/ABS indexed) published in journals of high repute. He also has four books to his credit, published by internationally reputable publishers like Springer and Taylor and Francis. Dr. Mubarik has also contributed various book chapters in the international best-selling handbooks; prominent among them is Palgrave’s Handbook on Cross-Cultural Negotiation. He has worked on various funded projects in collaboration with colleagues from national and international universities. He is also a consultant and corporate trainer and has extended his services to many multinational and national firms.

Dr. Farhan Ahmed
Deputy Convener CSC-United Nations, FPCCI & Assistant Professor, Economics & Management Science Dept. NED University

Dr. Farhan Ahmed is a highly experienced education professional specializing in financial economics, environmental economics, energy finance, sustainable finance, climate literacy, and development economics. He currently holds positions as a Technical Consultant at UNFPA, Deputy Convener at the CSC on the United Nations at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Almeria, Spain, and an Assistant Professor at NED University’s Economics and Management Sciences Department. Dr. Ahmed’s contributions to the fields of economics and finance have earned him three Best Research Awards (2021-2023) from NED University and the NED Alumni Association of Southern California. His work in sustainable finance led to his nomination as the first-ever Asian nominee for the 2022 Moskowitz Prize by the Kellogg School of Management at North-West University, US. Dr. Ahmed recently participated in the development of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (2023 – 2027) for Pakistan by the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in Islamabad. He has received several research and travel grants and is a regular invited speaker at events organized by the Health & Population Welfare Department, Planning & Development Board, UNDP, British Council, Association for Asian Studies (AAS), The NGO World Foundation, and UN agencies.
